so much of this? This is a weed we have been battling since we put the garden in this year. I don't know if it came from our compost or the environment, but it is out of control. I am certain it loves water, so this is it's lucky year, so far. Any ideas as to what it is and what to do to get rid of it? It seems that when it is hand weeded it just spreads-like "the trouble with tribbles," but not as cute.

It looks a little like the oat grass we have growing in our garden from some bad straw that had lots of seed in it. Kind of frustrating, since we got the straw to keep the weeds down, not grow them!
